There have been complaints to the BBB, lawsuits, threatened and actual legislation, and attempts to sell tickets without the use of Ticketmaster (Pearl Jam), but none of these things have succeeded in making Ticketmaster change its business practices.

The only way to get Ticketmaster to change its business practices is to NOT BUY TICKETS to events until it hurts them financially or they see the trend that people just won't buy tickets under the current way they do business.

Ticketmaster, ticket brokers, and some entertainers are complicit in overcharging customers for tickets to events. To add insult to injury, you are overcharged for average to below average seats. The really good seats are sold at ridiculous premiums (VIP packages). There is no such thing as a really good seat at a reasonable price for John Q. Public anymore thanks to Ticketmaster.
